Abstract

‘Live Journal’ is an online interactive channel that was applied in the International conference on Teacher-Training, to increase the engagement of the participants, and the sharing of information; and at the same time, as a case study to observe the participants use of online channels during a traditional conference. The article reviews a variety of online channels in use during conferences, and their advantages. In seeking of a recipe to successful online community, some challenges, as well as key characteristics of a flourishing community that shares ideas and reflects on discussed matters, are reviewed. It is possible that ‘Live Journal’ in professional conferences, may serve as an additional practicing mean to help increase the use of technological and a unique channel to increase collective knowledge.
