Using iPad Effectively in Higher Education

Abstract
While there are augments on whether or not iPad should be adopted in higher education (Murray & Olcese, 2011), several research indicated using iPad to improve reading skills (McClanahan, et al, 2012) , to promote collaborative learning in the classroom (Ron, 2012); and to support faculty teaching in higher education (Venable, 2012). Many universities have much on-going research about adopting iPad in the classroom (Writers, 2012). Faculty who owns an iPad would like to focus on how iPad can be used effectively in higher education. This round table discussion is going to discuss how faculty can use iPad effectively in higher education including useful apps for instruction and learning, student engagement, e-textbook, communications, and so on.
