Abstract

This paper describes the complex 21st century skills and provides an analysis of those skills. We need to develop new sets of taxonomies to be able create appropriate learning environments and provide learning experiences for the students in 21st century. In order to provide learning opportunities to exercise 21st century skills we must analyze the complex skills and design and develop assessment tools and assessment criteria. In this paper authors provide the generic guidelines for assessment of 21st century skills and suggest an integrative framework for learning environment design. Main focus of this paper is on students’ outcomes and use of emerging technologies for adaptable and flexible learning environment design. Authors argue that provision of choices for learner if we really inclined towards the development of 21st century skills.
