Abstract
Game telemetry data is the raw data that is collected remotely from a different location for analysis or to find out, for instance, how a user interacts with a game (Drachen, El-Nasr, & Canossa, 2013). Accurate and efficient data collection and preparation are essential components of good research (Elliott et al., 2006). Therefore, we will share the approach and tools we used to collect, clean and prepare the telemetry data for analyzing. We will also discuss the benefits and challenges of using the embedded telemetry data for studying children's learning.
