Abstract

The use of technology in classrooms has contributed positive pedagogical impact in the teaching and learning process as supported with much research. Learning has become more comprehensive with the convergency becoming more apparent. However, although the technology is becoming more common and economical, the responsible use of the technology does not follow the same speed. Especially in the case of children more attention should be paid to appropriate communication. Any problem caused in digital environment may not be due to the misinterpretation or misunderstanding of text which are reading related problems. However empowering reading skills is a good way of helping children tackle with the communication problems in digital age. This study tries to analyze how digital communication can be enhanced via digital media in strengthening reading skills.
