Abstract
With the growth of online learning in the K-12 educational system, there is a need for pre-service teacher education programs to prepare teachers for the future. Teacher education programs must be proactive and prepare their pre-service teachers to use the tools that exist in online learning in order to become productive and skilled teachers. The number of students taking online courses is predicted to increase, whether in a supplemental program or a cyber school program. As long as there is an increase in online programs there will be a need for trained online teachers.
