Abstract

Makerspaces provide a learning environment that may be useful to improving teacher confidence levels toward integrating technology into the classroom. The Technology Proficiency Self-Assessment for 21st Century Learning (TPSA C-21) was utilized to measure confidence levels of Makers’ Guild participants toward integrating technology after participating in a semester long Makerspace professional development program. Participants did report an increase of confidence in their technology proficiency levels in the areas of Email, Emerging Technologies for Student Learning, and Teacher Professional Development over the course of the Makers’ Guild professional development program
