Abstract
This session will focus on a promising practice to help teachers employ enhanced eBooks and iPads combined with multi-sensory, cross-curricular activities in the teaching of reading and science to pre-school children in a classroom setting. The topics are based on national standards from NAEYC and NSTA and promising practices that insure students become active, engaged and empowered. The multimedia methodologies include images, video, music, song and poetry within a narrative framework on the iPad. Presenters will demonstrate a successful program using the story-driven methodologies, teaching strategies, and ancillary including those with special needs, at-risk, English language learners, and students from diverse backgrounds.
