Abstract
Do we need instructors when information is available at our finger tip? Our brain can be augmented by Google, declared Larry Page. Self-motivated learners will not need a college education, suggested Bill Gates. If the world is truly open with information available at our finger tips, teaching must be more than just being a facilitator or coach. Instructors have to compete for student’s time and attention in their courses, to understand learner’s motivation, to engage them in social networks, and to help build a learning community for learners. Indeed, instructors ought to become learning community organizers.
