Abstract

This study is designed to explore Greek primary pre-service teachers’ attitudes towards Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into their future classroom teaching and practice. The Teachers’ Attitudes Toward Computers Questionnaire (TAC) was used. The research findings suggest that although the majority of students had computers at home and personal e-mail account they reported that they had low level of ICT knowledge. However, pre-service teachers expressed positive attitudes towards computers. The findings also reveal that there were significant differences between age, year of studies and attitudes towards computers. It is also recommended that efforts should be made to allow students as much computer exposure and experience as possible both within the university environment and outside it.
