Abstract

This paper presents a Problem-Based e-Learning model and its system framework to assist the teacher in effectively developing knowledge of teaching mathematics for students with mild disabilities. This model features the contextual learning as a theoretical basis to integrate learning theories of social constructivism and case reasoning along a problem-based learning approach. Besides achieving the objective of personalized learning, based on the model, the framework has the advantages of guiding the learner on an ongoing process of discussion, thinking, innovation, and feedback, to realize maximum benefits for the learner.
