Abstract

In the 21st Century, the teaching of science at the K-12 level must dramatically change to emulate the ways that real world scientists do science. Currently, many scientists use computer-based modeling, scientific visualization and informatics in their inquiry process. Thus, these skills need to be a part of the K-12 curriculum. In this paper, the use of computer modeling in a marine biology classroom is described.
