Abstract

Abstract: Elementary education majors at St. Bonaventure University spend two semesters interning at a Professional Development School prior to student teaching. During this time these preservice teachers are expected to become proficient users of technology for teaching and learning.. This paper describes eCamp, a beginning of the semester, day-long technology boot camp, designed to give interns an intense initial introduction to the technology used in the PDS. Interns come away from eCamp with a basic knowledge of the hardware and software available and with ideas for how to use technology in teaching and learning.
