Abstract

Abstract. In this paper we evaluate preservice student progress toward the National Education Technology Standards for Teachers (NETS-T). Through faculty collaboration, the Elementary Education Department created an integrated program matrix with assignments addressing the NETS-T. Student progress toward the NETS-T objectives was documented. An analysis of data revealed that preservice students were making progress toward achieving key NETS-T. The process employed to implement the matrix will be described. Finally, the authors will discuss the factors that supported the implementation of change including professional development, technical and curriculum integration support, leadership, and adequate access to technology in classrooms.
