Abstract
This paper presented an approach to the development of learning maps based on users’ intention in using problem-oriented e-Learning. In this approach, users’ intention is first extracted and transformed into knowledge requirements, which is then used to develop a learning map. By using ontology technology, users’ intention model and a domain knowledge map are developed to facilitate knowledge representation and knowledge searching. The results of this research may help solve the problem of learning disorientation and thus fulfill the goals of e-Learning and realize its values. The proposed approach is implemented in a problem-oriented e-learning platform with an emphasis on mathematics learning problem solving for students with mild disabilities.
