Abstract

This paper is based on the intended research project. The focus of this project will be to identify features of interactions in a virtual environment that indicate cultural norms, beliefs, values and behaviours and to provide technologies to make use of those features to visualize and to feed back such information to those who are interacting. The intention is to enrich the capacity for problem-solving, creativity and innovation of the group by making implicit information about the group explicit. These technologies will enable learners to, for instance, more easily identify assumptions and beliefs, visualize conversations, discover peers with similar (or dissimilar) attitudes, and to make forms of diversity within the group more visible.
