Abstract

During the past few years there have been strides in the advancement of technology that make feasible innovative learning possibilities, such as e-learning. In response to this call for documentation of such skills, the aim of this paper is to specify the skills and competencies of e-trainers in e-learning as well as to create a questionnaire that could help in systematically diagnosing a trainer’s existing skills and competencies. This is significant given the need to prepare educators and instructional designers to act as online trainers and deliver instruction via e-learning. The target audience of this paper is teachers/trainers in colleges/Universities and in Vocational Educational training organizations (VET) organizations and, in general, organizations that offer, as a part of their business or for internal use, training services.
