Abstract
This study explores pre-service teachers’ confidence using technology on school placement. Two cohorts of pre-service teachers were surveyed, each over a three-year period, during their college preparation course. The study adopted a sequential explanatory mixed-method design, and the statistical analysis of the survey data is reported here. Personal technological self-efficacy at the time of entering college was not an indicator of use of technology during school placement. The results have wider implications for classroom technology integration in Irish education.
