Abstract

This study investigates how teacher candidates’ learning and skills related to the creation of technology-rich content based learning activities develop in a flipped classroom model. Participants engaged in a teacher education course designed to follow a flipped classroom model in which they engaged with multimodal learning materials through an online educational space created by the instructor. Face to face class time was used for hands on projects and discussion. Survey and interpretive qualitative methods focused this study. Nuances of applying the flipped classroom model and its relationship to teacher candidates’ learning are discussed.
