Abstract

Digital photography and digital storytelling have been combined at the University of Houston's College of Education in a manner that allows both undergraduate and graduate students to learn not only how to use digital cameras and imaging techniques, but also to create compelling digital stories that go beyond the technical requirements that were originally envisioned by instructors seeking ways to integrate digital cameras into the curriculum. An examination of how graduate students in the Instructional Technology Program and undergraduate teacher education students are visioning, designing and creating digital stories is also presented.
