Abstract

This paper charts the development of an online programme for training teachers and trainers in eLearning. It outlines how qualitative evaluation methods were used to collect data from participants undertaking a pilot course, and considers the experiences of participants. The authors describe how a response to the issues raised subsequently produced an enhancement and retention strategy that may be applied to a range of modes, models and approaches to eLearning. They propose that a course that is able to operate in a variety of modes may better support learners whose personal preferences for learning and flexibility differ.
