Abstract

This study determines the integration of the concept of language learning and virtual reality learning. A virtual reality language learning courseware is designed towards improving EFL students’ English language competencies. There are seven main steps that need to be taken into account in producing digital teaching materials for English learning: Idea, Storyboard, Necessity, Content, Technicality, Testing, and Prototype. Insights are provided on how the courseware is created. The study indicates that new pedagogical tools can be created along with the advancement of technology. 3D virtual reality can bring educational opportunities and innovative approaches to language learning and teaching.
