A Collaborative Grid for Mobile Learning of English

This investigation proposed a collaborative grid for mobile learning of English to solve the difficulties of sharing learning resources distributed on different learning platforms and the collaboration of learning objects. Moreover, LOs collaboration relied on the workflow mechanism which was based on the kernel technology of grid services. GT3 was used to construct the environment of mobile learning grid. The workflow and collaboration of LOs distributed in heterogeneous environment were made by employing GSFL. The features of grid services technology were used to design the workflow scheduler of grid services. The experiment created English learning objects followed the SCORM standard and composed by GSFL with access to learning via mobile phones. The experimental results showed that users could learn English efficiently via mobile phones anywhere.
