Abstract

Abstract: This paper describes a pilot project that relied on multiple strategies to support undergraduate students’ understanding of technology integration. The collaborative project involved undergraduate students, current teachers, and faculty working together on an authentic task. Students in an introductory educational technology course designed an iBook focused on using mobile apps in the social studies classroom. They partnered with preservice teachers to tap into their pedagogical knowledge base in order to describe relevant classroom applications. The final product was reviewed by classroom teachers.
