Design of a computer program for electronic tests

This paper introduces a computer program for electronic examinations and tests. Questions of multiple choices, completion, true/false, and matching types are used. The questions are randomly selected from questions' banks. The program has some advantages such as: (1) controlling the set up and the test options (choosing the number of items for each type of questions and storing information of the students who perform the test), (2) controlling the allowed time for the test, (3) presenting the correct answer of each question after the student gives his answer, (4) instantly scoring the student's answers, (5) showing the total score of the student, and (6) creating a file by the name of the student to save his answers and the correct ones (the storage place can be chosen by the teacher). Some future developments are still to be carried out to widen the use of the program in developing electronic learning. The program is a step towards applying electronic learning in the Faculty of Specific Education in Minia University, Egypt.
