What will higher education “look like” for to 2020? This is a question internationally treated in different countries, as New Zealand, Malaysia or Spain. A worldwide point of view is useful to frame the issues currently discussed, as the blended learning strategies, which seems to work effectively with specific factors controled. Several academic policies and , education organisms are trying to facilitate some of these aspects through initiatives addressed to give light around these new forms of university education through technology, which will be managed by teachers, who must be trained from their initial teacher training and during their academic career. This proposal presents some of the international lines addressed to improve innovative scenarios strategies supported through technology which are being empirically studied to provide valid results for blended learning in higher education. New insights are shared in order to contribute to teacher educators worldwide.
