Abstract

The University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) online course persistence rate is lower than for traditional courses. UCO’s online course quality initiative was intended to positively affect retention. This paper will focus on why the initiative was introduced, how it has affected retention in online courses, and UCO’s future focus.
