Abstract

An increasing number of projects around the world are focused on delivering laptops to children in school environments. This paper presents a unique approach to the integration of XO laptops from the OLPC foundation to the school environment based on concepts borrowed from Organizational Semiotics and Participatory Design. We describe principles behind the project and a scenario-based approach being conducted. Results of the four first semio-participatory workshops in the school illustrate the feasibility of the proposal.
