Abstract

Abstract: The digital divide has changed over the years. Schools now have internet excess, however, a closer look indicate differences between how the technology is used in the classroom and the quality of technology available in LSES schools. Providing a different approach to professional development can assist teachers in addressing the diverse cultural needs of students while encouraging the use of technology. This paper describes a model that combines Bank’s Transformative Education model and universal design principles with technology.
