Abstract

The Internet and the World Wide Web makes a virtual world of information available for students with a click of a mouse. While the Internet is a remarkable resource for educators, organizing and integrating Internet and World Wide Web resources across curriculum areas can be a time consuming and overwhelming task. Virtual Field trips have become one of the most popular K-12 Internet integration activities for organizing Web resources on a particular topic. This presentation gives an overview of virtual field trips and explores how to design and integrate virtual field trips across curriculum areas.
