Abstract

Abstract: The use of digital learning resources is proven to be low in many Swedish schools and schools in other countries as well. A present study at the University of Gothenburg Digital Learning Resources in schools governed by goals indicates that digital learning resources do not correspond to the curriculum, the goals and guidelines for education as they ought to. Printed textbooks are still predominantly used by the teachers as they believe them to be more in accordance with the curriculum. To increase the professional use of digital learning resources among teachers and students is therefore of great importance. Questions: Are there any problems in using digital learning resources made in another country? Do digital learning resources rest on goals and guidelines as stated by the authorities? Is scrutinizing and reviewing a solution? Can core principles for digital learning resources be designed? How can we support professional skills in using digital learning resources?
