Abstract

Innovation in learning is always a key interest of any educational institute when they are seeking to develop their learning models. E-learning is one of the more innovative models in available in education. It can replace the traditional learning model that is based primarily on knowledge transfer into more innovative models based on Constructive, Collaborative Learning. This paper focuses on a preliminary investigation of the factors that influence E-learning adoption in an emergent nation. The country studied is a pioneer in terms of its uses and adoption of E-learning systems in the Middle East and Arab countries. The investigation has been done in one of the university that has implemented E-learning for a substantial period of time. The factors examined here are defined through the analysis of unstructured interviews with developers and users of the E-learning systems.
