The results from a previous study that examined the impact of environmental curriculum on technology skills and integration strategies of alternative certification teachers prompted revisions in the course under study. In a previous study alternative certification teachers were placed in groups and assigned to work with mentor teachers on the design and delivery of a WebQuest. The most concerning outcome was the inability of candidates to work collaboratively to accomplish the project. The purpose of this study is to determine to what extent the use of Web 2.0 collaborative tools influence how teacher candidates (a) work collaboratively, (b) work with a mentor, and (c) gain skills in the design and delivery of technology integrated lessons. Survey data, narrative analysis, mentor feedback, and product assessment (Gall, Borg & Gall, 2006, Riessman, 1994) will be applied to gain understanding of teachers' experiences as they move through a course designed to prepare alternative teacher candidates to work collaboratively to integrate technology into the curriculum.
