Abstract

The growing personal use of Internet technologies such as wikis, blogs, and podcasts has spawned interest in pedagogical uses of these tools for creating and sharing information. These technologies allow learners - working individually or in collaboration with others - to “publish” their work, thus providing opportunities for reflection and dialogue. Some educators are exploring ways to use these technologies to foster constructivist pedagogies such as interaction, collaboration, and knowledge building, in both instructional and professional development environments. Most faculty, however, are still seeking information on the pedagogical and technical feasibility of using these tools.
