Abstract
Learning process is an outcome of co-production between learner, content, mentor and learning environment. This outcome needs to be based on standardized elements that will enable development of high quality online courses. There are number of prerequisites for determining the quality of online courses such as implemented institutional and project management approach, standardization, continuous monitoring of results, etc. In this paper we will make a review of relevant elements of quality that need to be addressed while developing online courses. Although, those elements can be used in different areas of education, our considerations will be restricted to higher education.
