Abstract

Web X.0 refers to the evolutionary changes occurring to the World Wide Web (WWW). Web X.0 is evolving in ways that will enhance problem solving, critical thinking, and learning ability. By understanding what Web 1.0, Web 2.0, Web 3.0, and Web 4.0 are and how they will affect the WWW, educators will have the opportunity to affect their classroom curriculum and students in a positive manner. With the evolution of Web X.0, learners will be able to develop real world problem solving skills, personalized critical thinking, and futuristic learning abilities. Educators will be able to offer real world problems to be solved, opportunities for critical thinking to occur, and develop methods that will teach futuristic learning abilities. Only through the understanding of Web X.0 will future students be ready for the global workforce that will be tapping into the data richness of the World Wide Web.
