Abstract

Abstract: STEM education has been placed at the forefront of educational agendas in the recent past and even developing countries like Trinidad and Tobago seek to develop, in students and teachers alike, skills and competencies to promote STEM. In-service teachers seldom experience focused training in STEM and the promotion of 21st Century skills can transform classroom practice. However, in-service teachers have competing demands for their time and energies and blended learning models have been known to afford teachers greater flexibility in time and resources. This STEMagination program allowed EC, primary and secondary teachers to participate in digitally rich learning environments. A mixed approach to collecting and analysing data was used as data from blogs, wikis, discussion forums and other spaces were used. The Internet as a data source is a complex and new area of study and the data shows how teachers from all school levels were able to learn new technological skills.
