Abstract
Today, the students in the Master programs in Universities of Applied Sciences, work whole time and study in addition to it. They need special online applications for their master studies. ICT should provide flexible learning opportunities to the Master-students. For this reason the amount of online teaching will be increased in the coming years in Oulu University of Applied Sciences. The development project aimed at developing a basic action model for cooperative online teaching. The model helps teachers in increasing the amount of shared multi-disciplinary study courses in the Master programs. Another purpose was to develop teaching, teaching methods and use of online learning environments. The research aimed at finding the needs of teachers when teaching online and the measures how to support teachers in it. Teachers lacked everyday practices in online teaching. Promoting online learning in multi-disciplinary study courses will need a lot of work.
