Abstract

Practical, wise-practice design strategies for developing primers, paper and online, for historical photographs that scaffold students’ data collection, evaluation, analysis; hypothesis formation, testing; and justifying, supporting conclusions to inquiry-based instruction. The session leader will share (a) “Monday morning ready” wise-practice teaching materials, and perhaps more importantly, (b) the design principles that underpin the construction of the materials (online and paper) that attempt to develop students’ civic competence.
