Abstract
E-portfolios are important because, in the learning process, learners must accumulate and use their own learning records for learning assessment. However, it is not easy for learners to accumulate and use learning records that teachers assign inside and outside the classroom. In elementary and secondary education, worksheets are used to create learning records. Our purpose with this study was to develop a framework to support the accumulation and use of learning records by using electronic worksheets (e-worksheets). Specifically, we developed a model for creating e-worksheets by using construction items (an item-construction model of e-worksheets) and implemented it using an XML schema. This paper also developed an e-worksheet management system (EWMS) for accumulating and using learning records based on the formalized model.
