Abstract
3D printing has expanded rapidly across the K-12 environment as entry level pricing has become more affordable over the past three years. Many schools have capitalized on the potential applications of the device in multiple subject areas across the curriculum. This paper introduces the early phases of the 3D printer’s implementation in a K-8 school, highlights the successes and shortcomings, and outlines the researchers’ next steps in evaluating the impact.
