Abstract

This paper summarizes a comprehensive project that provides tools, content and community to assist learners to achieve state teacher certification standards. The project uses a commercial learning management system (WebCT) in new ways that allow learners to view learning resources, interact with peers and faculty, and develop electronic portfolios for assessment by faculty and potential employers. The system will be demonstrated and results of field-testing for the first year of deployment will be shared.
