Abstract

This study investigates how an interactive navigational map influences learning on a Web-based instructional system. More specifically, the study focuses on the effect of an interactive navigational map on the learning of individuals with different levels of spatial ability and also on the cognitive load they experience while learning. Findings of this study will help evaluate the effectiveness of the interactive navigational map as cognitive aid in Web-based learning environment.
