Abstract
This poster session will provide an overview of a transmedia book and the creation process. The project was funded through an NSF grant awarded to the Department of Learning Technologies at a large North American university. The book focuses on engineering careers and the intended audience is middle school students. QR codes, web resources, and fabrication manipulatives (2D cutter) are integrated into the content of the book. A companion website was also created as a resource. The book is currently in-press and will be utilized by a middle school teacher during the fall of 2013. Data collection will occur during that time and will be presented at a future date.
