Abstract

This session will explore the purpose and creation of digital stories in classrooms. As educators, our task is no longer simply to deliver static content. Rather, we should be placing the tools in our students’ hands to author new content, create scenarios and tell stories that make the content material alive, tangible, and relevant. One way to do that is through the creation of digital stories. The iPad is a valuable tool that opens the door for students to be storytellers in the classroom. This session will share digital production apps that bring their stories to life in new and creative ways. More than that, they can share their stories with their classmates, parents, and school community.
