Abstract

The purpose of the study was to propose a new cognitive tool named INNOVATOR to support problem solving performance effectively. This tool consists of four main parts: The tool's Interface, Templates, Knowledge database, and User driven database. This tool is expected to enhance the problem solving performance by allowing learners to combine the concept and process, present the contextuality of the problem, go beyond the limitations of representational space, and facilitate multiple mental representation during solving problems.
