Abstract
The mission of IBM Technical Learning is to quickly and effectively align the technical skills of hundreds of thousands technical employees with key strategic corporate initiatives. In September of 2003, IBM launched Technology at a Glance, a program that offers 1-hour "on demand" introductions to leading edge technologies. Through a model that emphasizes collaboration of technical experts with diverse views of a given technology, Technology at a Glance provides brief, hands-on introductions to critical technical content and strategic direction, while offering links to resources that serve as long-term job aids. Students participating in this highly-accessed program have reported significant time savings per technical topic.
