Abstract

Time management is one determinant of successful learning outcomes in online learning environments. Since learners' low time commitment in online learning leads to unsuccessful learning outcomes, it is necessary to provide learners appropriate support for a better time management. The purpose of this session is to investigate how to help distance learners manage their time for learning. Helping learners become self-regulated learners is an ideal strategy for a long-term effect. However, it takes a huge amount of time. As a short-term strategy, a time management system may be an effective device for learners to monitor their learning progress.
