Abstract
Abstract: Web 2.0 tools such as blogs and wikis have changed the way people interact with online materials. We are no longer mere consumers of web content but also producers. Being able to not only read materials online but also alter the information for the sake of improving it is one of the most important advantages offered by web 2.0 tools. Educators are now looking for effective ways to incorporate blogs and wikis in their classes in order to promote students’ critical thinking skills. The present study draws insights from qualitative data that will be collected from 11 students enrolled in an introductory educational technology class at a Midwestern University to shed light on students’ attitudes towards interactive blogging and how it affects their learning. The results of the study will contribute to helping educators identify effective ways to incorporate blogs in their classes in order to maximize students’ learning.
