Abstract

The software application, iCALT (Intelligent Context Aware Learning and Teaching), to be described here brings together advanced computing techniques and educational thinking to create a support system for teaching and learning environments that moves outside most current work. This system is based on context aware computing that fits the structure of SocioCybernetic modeling of educational systems. It was designed to provide an interface for feedback and comment within a real time teaching and learning environment. In part, this intention was driven by the perceived need to go beyond personal response systems by harnessing the power of current computing systems.
